Azerbaijan Packages from Qatar — Your Next Short-Haul Escape Awaits

Ask anyone who has done a Baku weekend from Doha and they will tell you the same thing — it does not feel like a short trip at all. For a travel agency in Qatar that has put together itineraries across the Caucasus, Azerbaijan stands out for how much it packs into a few days. A Caspian skyline that looks straight out of the future sits a few kilometres from an Old City whose walls have stood for centuries. Hillsides burn naturally without any fuel source. Rock carvings older than written history sit in the desert south of the capital, and mountain resorts with proper cable cars and Alpine Coasters are barely a few hours’ drive away. A direct Qatar Airways flight gets you there.

Our Azerbaijan tour packages from Qatar are built for couples, families and small groups who want a holiday that runs smoothly without much thinking on their part. Each one comes with private transportation, an English-speaking driver, hotel stays across a choice of comfort tiers, and the major entrance fees already folded into the price. You arrive, we handle everything else.

Choose Your Azerbaijan Package — 7 Options to Match Every Schedule

Baku rewards both a quick weekend and a full week away, so these packages are built around how much of the country you actually want to cover — anything from a focused city-and-coastline introduction to a full loop through the mountains, the fire sites and the desert landscapes south of the capital.

Baku Escape with Absheron | 03 Nights / 04 Days | From QAR 552 per person

Three nights gets you a proper introduction without feeling rushed. The Old City, the Caspian waterfront, and the Fire Temple and Burning Hill out on the peninsula cover the essentials in a comfortable pace — good for couples or first-time visitors who’d rather not pack every hour.

Day one is arrival and settling in: you’re met at the airport, transferred to your hotel, and left to explore the city at your own pace through the evening. Day two is the Baku City Tour, working through Old Town, a walk along the Caspian Seaside Boulevard past Little Venice and the Carpet Museum, and finishing at Upland Park for panoramic views over Baku Bay and the Flame Towers. Day three heads out to the Absheron Peninsula for the Atashgah Fire Temple and Yanardag Burning Hill, the Heydar Aliyev Center, a photo at the “I Love Baku” sign, and some shopping at Green Bazaar and Ganjlik Mall before heading back. The final morning is breakfast, check-out and a transfer to the airport.

    Baku City & Mountains | 03 Nights / 04 Days | From QAR 500 per person

Keep the city introduction from the first package, but swap the Absheron day for a trip into the Caucasus Mountains. You can pick either Shahdag Mountain Resort, where the draw is the cable car ride, Alpine Coaster and a zip-line, or Gabala Resort, which adds a wine club stop and a catamaran ride at Nohur Lake on the way to its own cable car at Tufandag. Day one and two run identically to the package above; day three is whichever resort you choose, and day four wraps with breakfast and the airport transfer.

Sample Basis Room Category Vehicle Per Person Rate
6 Adults, 3-Star (Promo) Triple Room Small Van From QAR 500 / person
2 Adults, Mid 4-Star Double Room Sedan From QAR 918 / person

Azerbaijan Mountain Getaway | 04 Nights / 05 Days | From QAR 685 per person

Add a fourth night and there’s room for both the mountain excursion and a full Absheron Peninsula day, instead of squeezing one into a half-afternoon. The structure stays familiar — arrival and city tour over the first two days, then the mountains (Shahdag or Gabala, your choice) on day three, followed by Absheron’s Fire Temple, Burning Hill, the Heydar Aliyev Center and the Green Bazaar / Ganjlik Mall shopping stop on day four. Breakfast and departure close out day five.

Sample Basis Room Category Vehicle Per Person Rate
10 Adults, 3-Star (Promo) Triple Room Minibus From QAR 685 / person
2 Adults, Mid 4-Star Double Room Sedan From QAR 1,254 / person
2 Adults, 5-Star Double Room Sedan From QAR 1,909 / person

Azerbaijan Ancient Wonders | 04 Nights / 05 Days | From QAR 677 per person

This one trades the mountain day for something older and stranger — Azerbaijan’s geology. On day four you head out to the mud volcanoes, of which the country has the largest concentration anywhere in the world, then on to Gobustan National Preserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where more than 6,000 petroglyphs depict scenes of daily life from thousands of years ago. The route back passes Bibi-Heybat Mosque on the Caspian shoreline. The rest of the trip mirrors the standard pattern: arrival, the Baku city tour, an Absheron Peninsula day, then departure.

Sample Basis Room Category Vehicle Per Person Rate
10 Adults, 3-Star (Promo) Triple Room Minibus From QAR 677 / person
2 Adults, Mid 4-Star Double Room Sedan From QAR 1,215 / person

For travellers who want both the mountains and Gobustan but only have four nights to spare, this itinerary fits the mountain excursion, the mud volcanoes, Gobustan Preserve, and the Fire Temple and Burning Hill into one combined day.

Sample Basis Room Category Vehicle Per Person Rate
10 Adults, 3-Star (Promo) Triple Room Minibus From QAR 763 / person

Azerbaijan Discovery Journey | 05 Nights / 06 Days | From QAR 879 per person

This is the most complete standard itinerary among our Azerbaijan tour packages from Qatar. The mountains, Absheron and Gobustan each get their own full day rather than being combined, so nothing feels rushed and you actually have time at each stop.

Sample Basis Room Category Vehicle Per Person Rate
10 Adults, 3-Star (Promo) Triple Room Minibus From QAR 879 / person
2 Adults, Mid 4-Star Double Room Sedan From QAR 1,594 / person
2 Adults, 5-Star Double Room Sedan From QAR 2,412 / person
  • Option

For travellers who do not want to choose between Shahdag and Gabala — this itinerary includes both mountain resorts on separate days, plus the full Absheron Peninsula day and a dedicated Gobustan and mud volcanoes day. Two cable car experiences in one trip.

Sample Basis Room Category Vehicle Per Person Rate
10 Adults, 3-Star (Promo) Triple Room Minibus From QAR 1,082 / person
2 Adults, Mid 4-Star Double Room Sedan From QAR 1,973 / person
2 Adults, 5-Star Double Room Sedan From QAR 2,951 / person

All seven itineraries are priced across the same five hotel tiers and group sizes from 1 to 10 adults, and rates drop as group size increases. If you’d rather arrange your own accommodation, a without-hotel option is available on every package while we still handle transfers and sightseeing. Full rate grids by hotel category and group size are shared once you reach the quotation stage.

  • Top Destinations Covered in Our Armenia Packages

Every package, regardless of duration, comes with hotel accommodation in Baku with daily breakfast at your chosen category, plus private transportation throughout — a sedan, minivan or minibus depending on your group size, with an English-speaking driver who knows the routes well. Entrance fees for the sites covered in your specific itinerary are built into the price, whether that’s the Fire Temple and Burning Hill, the mud volcanoes, or Gobustan Preserve, along with the cable car ride wherever a mountain resort day is included. A 24-hour concierge service, VAT, city tax and service fee round out the inclusions.

Top Destinations Covered in Our Azerbaijan Packages

Baku’s Old City is usually where the trip starts — narrow lanes, heritage buildings and cafés tucked inside a historic walled quarter, a good way to get your bearings before the rest of the itinerary. From there, the Caspian Seaside Boulevard makes for a long, easy waterfront walk past Little Venice and the Carpet Museum, ending with views from Upland Park toward the Flame Towers. The Heydar Aliyev Center sits a short drive away and remainsone of the city’s most photographed landmarks — flowing, almost liquid architecture unlike anything else in the region.

Out on the Absheron Peninsula, the Atashgah Fire Temple was built in the 17th–18th centuries around naturally burning flames once worshipped by Zoroastrians, and nearby Yanardag is a 10-meter-high wall of fire burning day and night on the hillside. Further south, Gobustan is home to the largest concentration of mud volcanoes anywhere in the world, alongside a UNESCO World Heritage rock art site where more than 6,000 petroglyphs show daily life from thousands of years ago. Up in the Caucasus, Shahdag and Gabala offer mountain resort experiences with cable cars and Alpine Coasters — Gabala adds a Nohur Lake catamaran ride and a stop at Abqora Wine Club along the way.

    Local Culture & Cuisine

Azerbaijani culture blends Turkic, Persian, Caucasian and Caspian influences. Guests can expect warm hospitality, lively markets, traditional architecture and a strong tea culture. Baku offers a modern lifestyle, while the countryside and mountain regions show a slower, nature-focused side of the country. Local dishes include plov, kebabs, dolma, qutab and fresh bread, with Azerbaijani tea served with jam, sweets or dry fruits. Bazaars across the city sell spices, nuts, caviar, dried fruits and local souvenirs.

Most Azerbaijan packages include daily breakfast at the hotel, while lunches and dinners can be arranged based on guest preference. Baku has a wide selection of restaurants offering Azerbaijani, Turkish, Middle Eastern, Indian and international cuisine. Halal food options are generally easy to find in Baku.
